School Council and House Captains

School Council

Two children from each year group are elected to be on the School Council by their peers – teaching children from an early age about democracy.

A meeting is held once a month between the School Council and Mrs Rood. This is an opportunity for the children to share their ideas about what they like about our school and what they would like to improve.

Our School Council representatives for this year are:

Year 1: Ciara Traynor and Finlay Banwell
Year 2: Jakob Taylor

Year 3: Esme Pocock and Archie Giles
Year 4: Phoebe Stark
Year 5: Daina Upfield and Daniel Watson
Year 6: Ollie Griffiths and Darcey Pike

House Captains

At Spaxton, we have 3 houses which are named after the local reservoirs.

The house captains are responsible for encouraging their house to do the best they can. The are also in charge of helping organise house competitions, including Sports Day.

At the end of each term, the house with the most house points gets a special treat from the Head of School.
